If you are driven by compassion and a commitment to make a positive impact, the Community Care Centre for HIV/AIDS Children in Goa, India, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of children facing extraordinary challenges. Established in 2002 in Tivim and 2003 in Cavelossim, this center emerged from the dedicated efforts of Dr. Philomena D’Souza, former Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Goa Medical College. Initially a private initiative, Caritas Goa assumed management in 2002.
The Community Care Centre for HIV/AIDS Children is a vital initiative located in Goa, India. It was established in the year 2002 in Tivim and 2003 in Cavelossim. The center began as a private initiative led by Dr. Philomena DSouza, Former Head of the Department of Pediatrics at Goa Medical College, in her ancestral house in Tivim. Subsequently, Caritas Goa took over the management of the home in 2002. The center, which we will refer to as CCC, serves as a care home for children living with HIV/AIDS and responds to a critical need in the state of Goa. CCC currently accommodates 21 children, most of whom are orphans due to the passing of their parents, while others are dependent due to their parents health conditions, which prevent them from providing care.
Volunteers play a vital role in providing love, support, and care to the children living with HIV/AIDS at CCC. The project welcomes international volunteers who can bring compassion, skills, and a desire to make a difference in the lives of these children. Volunteers are needed to help create a nurturing and safe environment and provide additional resources that enhance the quality of life for the children.
