Introduction

Ayurvedic practitioners postulate that mental, physical, and spiritual faculties are inextricably tied and that dysfunction in one or more of these areas impedes overall well-being. In keeping with this dogma, Ayurvedic practitioners provide holistic treatment that typically includes non-western remedies. Ayurveda is heavily practiced in India and Nepal, where around 80% of the population report using it. Ayurveda therapies have varied and evolved over more than two millennia. Therapies include herbal medicines, special diets, meditation, yoga, massage, laxatives, enemas, and medical oils.

Ayurveda is an alternative medicine system with historical roots in the Indian subcontinent. The theory and practice of Ayurveda are pseudoscientific. The Indian Medical Association describes Ayurvedic practitioners who claim to practice medicine as quacks. The Job Description of an Intern may include but is not limited to;

• Learning about the different Therapies and Treatments
• Learning about the Healing Mechanism of Ayurveda
• Learning about the Pulse checking and Scanning of Body through 03 Main elements
• Helping in Medicines Preparation
• Assisting in Writing Prescriptions
• Buying Herbs and Oils from the Market
• Learn about the Panchkarm and Other Ayurveda Treatments 

Features of the Internship Program

• Placement Organization/Company: Ayurvedic Hospital or at a Doctor Clinic
• Program Length: 01 Month to 12 Months
• Working Days (Weekly): 05 days in a week (Monday to Friday)
• Working Hours (Daily): 05 to 06 hours (In a day)
