The "Childcare and Women Rehabilitation" project is a Diocesan institution that had its inception in the city of Margao in the year 1942, with the cooperation of the ladies and gentlemen who generously and dedicatedly worked or gave their valuable cooperation for the rehabilitation and welfare of women under the direction of a priest. The project operates under the umbrella of Caritas Goa, an organization registered in 1966, with the goal of alleviating human suffering and improving the lives of the less fortunate. The projects mission is to protect women and children and offer them a safe haven, emotional support, and opportunities for personal growth and empowerment.

  1. 1. Shelter Operations: Assist with daily shelter operations, including providing food, clothing, and a safe environment for women and children.
  2. 2. Personal Support: Offer companionship, emotional support, and a caring presence to women and children at the shelter.
  3. 3. Physical and Psychological Aid: Address the physical and emotional needs of beneficiaries through activities, recreation, and counseling.
  4. 4. Medical Assistance: Accompany women and children to medical appointments and ensure they receive proper healthcare.
  5. 5. Vocational Training: Provide vocational training to empower women with valuable skills for future employment.
  6. 6. Health Hygiene Education: Conduct workshops on health and hygiene practices to promote well-being.
  7. 7. Life Skills Education: Educate women on moral values, home management, and essential life skills for independence.
  8. 8. Counseling: Offer counseling services to help women cope with their past experiences and plan for a better future.
  9. 9. Legal Support: Assist women in understanding their legal rights and provide support in legal matters.
  10. 10. Reintegration: Prepare women for reintegration into society by providing life skills training, job search assistance, and educational opportunities.
  11. 11. Awareness and Fundraising: Raise awareness about the "Childcare and Women Rehabilitation" projects work and contribute to fundraising efforts to support the organizations programs.

1. Minimum age
The minimum age to apply for a volunteer project is 18 years.

2. Minor Participants (If you are below 18 years)
In case you are a minor and would like to create an impact on the global communities, we need to receive a "No Objection Certificate" signed by your parents. (Please send the NOC through an email after submitting the application form, in case you are a minor.)

3. Guarantee of Participation
Submitting an application form does not guarantee your selection and participation in the project.

4. The volunteers have to follow the code of conduct in the destination country and projects.

5. The local team is responsible for the management of pick-ups, housing, weekend excursions, safety, and well-being of the volunteers, we encourage the trust-building between the volunteers and the local management.

6. You will be working as a representative of your own country and we would highly appreciate it if you leave a very positive impact on the community you work with.
